From the Pit to Purpose

Everyone matters. Every person is made in the image of God and created with inherent dignity, worth, and purpose. I came to faith when I was at the lowest point of my life.
During brokenness, I encountered the transforming love of Jesus Christ, and that encounter changed the direction of my life forever. Today, my passion is to seek out the diamonds in the rough, those who are forgotten, overlooked, and marginalised.
I believe that no life is beyond hope and that every person has a unique contribution to make. Through Make Good Foundation, I seek to create pathways from exclusion to belonging, helping individuals discover their potential while equipping communities to recognise, support, and sustain transformation.

My prayer is that more people would encounter the hope of Christ, discover their God-given purpose, and flourish within communities where they are welcomed, valued, and able to contribute.

All for the glory of God. To God. By God.

This is my story

My journey has taken me through imprisonment, addiction, recovery, higher education, and Christian ministry. These experiences have profoundly shaped my understanding of justice, restoration, and the possibility of transformation.

For many years, my life was marked by repeated imprisonment and the consequences of poor choices. During that time, I experienced both the realities of exclusion and the hope that genuine change is possible. Following my release, I began the long process of rebuilding my life through recovery, education, and faith. From completing a Business degree in Oxford, to theological training at WTC.

Then, onto studying theology at Wycliffe Hall, the University of Oxford, alongside practical work within churches, community organisations, and reintegration initiatives, led me to recognise a recurring challenge. While many people experience significant personal transformation, they often struggle to find places where that transformation is recognised, supported, and sustained.

This question became central to my work:
How does transformation become socially real?

Exploring that question led to the development of the RIC Framework (Restoration, Identity, and Community), which brings together lived experience, theological reflection, and practical engagement. The framework seeks to understand how lasting transformation is strengthened through renewed identity, meaningful participation, and belonging within the community.

Make Good Foundation was established from this conviction. It exists to create pathways from exclusion to belonging through scholarships, the RIC Framework, research, training, and public engagement. Rather than focusing solely on individual change, the Foundation seeks to equip individuals, churches, charities, educational institutions, and communities to recognise, support, and sustain transformation.

I hope that Make Good Foundation will become an organisation that serves others with integrity, builds meaningful partnerships, and contributes to a wider conversation about restoration, identity, community, and human flourishing.

Transformation is not the end of the story. It is the beginning of a life that can be recognised, nurtured, and shared with others.
